讲述了In2262,EarthforceCaptainElizabethLochleyisappointedtocommandBabylon5.ThestationgrowsinitsroleasasanctuaryforroguetelepathsrunningfromthePsiCorps,resultinginconflict.GKar,formerNarnambassadortoBabylon5,becomesunwillinglyaspiritualiconafterabookispublishedthathewrotewhileincarceratedduringtheNarn-CentauriWar.TheDrakh,formeralliesoftheShadowswhoremainedinthegalaxy,takecontrolofRegentVirinionCentauriPrimethroughaparasiticcreaturecalledaKeeper,theninciteawarbetweentheCentauriandtheInterstellarAlliance,inordertoisolatetheCentaurifromtheAllianceandgainamalleablehomeworldforthemselves.CentauriPrimeisdevastatedbyNarnandDraziwarshipsandLondoMollaribecomesemperor,acceptingaDrakhKeeperunderthreatofthecompletenucleardestructionoftheplanet.(Portionsoftheendofhisreignareseeninvariousprescientvisionsthroughouttheseries;theyshowMollariandformernemesis(andlaterfriend)GKarsixteenyearsinthefuturedyingateachothersthroats,seeminglyoutoftheirgrudge.Itisgraduallyrevealedthattherewasamuchmorefriendlysubtext,withMollarihavingbecomeaslavetothedrakhruleandbeingtiredoflife;hisDrakhKeeperawakensandstranglesGKarinreturn.VirCotto,Mollarisloyalandmoremoralaide,succeedshimasemperor,freeofDrakhinfluence.SheridanandDelennmarryandmovetoMinbar,alongwiththeheadquartersoftheInterstellarAlliance.GKarleavesBabylon5toescapehisunwantedfameandexploretherim.GaribaldialsomarriesandsettlesdownonMars.MostoftheothermaincharactersleaveB5.Nineteenyearslateronthevergeofdeath,SheridantakesafinaltriptotheobsoleteBabylon5stationbeforeitsdecommissioning.SheridanapparentlydiesbutisclaimedbytheFirstOnes,whoinvitehimtojointhemonajourneybeyondtherimofthegalaxy.Babylon5stationisdestroyedinademolitionshortlyafterSheridansdeparture,itsexistencenolongernecessaryastheAlliancehastakenoveritsdiplomaticpurposes.ThisfinalepisodefeaturesacameobyStraczynskiasthetechnicianwhoswitchesoffthelightsbeforeBabylon5isdemolished.
